Napoleon Perdis Foundation Stick
I do not use this product as my go to foundation, however, I have used it a few times. Most foundation sticks, can not alone provide people with acne and pimples the best coverage. However, I have found that this one does provide quite good coverage. For additional coverage pair with a small amount of liquid foundation (that can be applied over the entire face or just the affected area) and a great mineral powder. While it does offer good coverage for pimple/acne prone skin it does provide clear skin with the best coverage. Also, I know that most of you should know this but I feel the need to say this because you would be suprised how many people don't know, ALWAYS MOISTURISE BEFORE APPLYING MAKEUP, especially with this product. Now I am not just singling out Napoleon's foundation stick, foundation sticks in general are extremely hard to apply without well hydrated skin. I found this product was easier to apply straight from the stick and then blended with a brush. Obviously you can blend with your fingers, but I have found that blending with a brush is more even. Just another thing, for those concerned with sun safety :''), this product is SPF 15, however, these days, most foundations are. Also, Napoleon provides an extensive range of looks to suit your skin tone. These are:
Look 1 - Fair
Look 2 - Light
Look 3 - Medium
Look 4 - Tan
Look 7 - Caramel
Look 8 - Chocolate
Look 2B - Porcelain
Look 3B - Light Beige
Look 5B - Milk Chocolate
Look 6B - Dark Chocolate
Another positive about this product is that they last forever. No not really, that would be great, but these foundation sticks last quite a while. Generally people might use one over an 18 month period. Obviously this does depend on how often and how thickly you apply, however, a moderate, daily application of this product should still cause the product to last for at least a year. It is quite pricey at $65 direct from Napoleon Perdis and most other retailers, however, if it works for you it's worth it. Overall, a great product and I would recommend this to anyone. It offers great range to match all skin tones and generally provides great coverage for all skin types. I would rate this product a 3 out of 5 stars, mainly because it is quite expensive and not my personal preference. What do you think? Write in the comments below.
Until next week,
