Let's Talk Fashion

We all know that in fashion, this weeks treasure will be next weeks trash. So this page will help keep you up to date with all the current trends in fashion and accessories As well as this page I also have a sub-page that will talk about specific trends. So first let's talk about colours. I like to think of colours as timeless or seasonal. Now for the purposes of this blog I will be referring to black, white and grey as COLOURS not SHADES. So, I believe that black and white and occasionally silver/grey and gold are timeless. What I mean by this is that they are always in fashion whatever time of year, always will be. Obviously all the other colours, your reds, oranges, yellows, greens, blues, purples, pinks etc are all seasonal. You will be able to wear these during one, sometimes two or three seasons of the year, but they will generally not be in fashion during all four. As it is Spring now (in Australia) I have created a gallery of the colours that are 'in season' as of now. The palette has shifted from earthy neutrals and bold colours of Winter to the cooler and softer end of the colour spectrum. This Spring features the pales, the pastles and the nature-like neutrals.

I believe that this timeless/seasonal idea can be applied to any part of picking out an outfit, whether it be in clothing, accessories or shoes. Obviously, it changes slightly when it comes to accessories, but we will cross that bridge when we come to it. The basis to every outfit is the clothing itself and I don't know about you, but I certainly don't base everything else about my outfit on a pair of earrings. I start with the core of the outfit (the clothes) and work my out from there. In clothing I also believe that denim is classified as timeless. In footwear, I only classify black and white as timeless and in accessories it changes a little bit. So of course, you've got all your subdivisions of accessories including jewellery and sunglasses, (these are just the main few), and in each of these subdivisions, different rules apply. In jewellery I regard, plain silver, gold and pearl as timeless and in sunglasses, black and white. So to hopefully simplify this info a little bit more I have kindly put it all in the table below.
